However, you can do this trek throughout the year as the snowfall is not too heavy, and the trail is navigable all year long. Avoid the monsoon season, as the trail gets slippery, which may affect your trekking experience.

What To Pack:

  • Warm Clothes: This trek crosses elevations over 4000 meters, which can get pretty cold during the winter. Pack warm clothes so that you can stay warm throughout the trek without getting sick.
  • Medicines: Carry altitude sickness medicines with you, as some people may experience altitude sickness at higher elevations. Also, carry painkillers and a first-aid kit, which may be useful in emergency conditions.
  • Plenty of food and water: Carry enough food and water to last you the entire trek. Hydration is key to walking long distances. Bring protein-rich foods with you, as they can power you to walk long distances.

  • Day 4- Trek from Thadepati to Ghopte, 3430 meters. (5-6 hours)
  • Day 5- Trek from Ghopte to Gosaikunda Lake via the Laurebina Pass, 4610 meters. (6-7 hours)
  • Day 6- Explore the Gosaikunda Lake and trek to Sing Gompa, 3330 meters. (3-4 hours)
  • Day 7- Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche, 1960 meters. (6 hours)
  • Day 8- Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu, 1400 meters.
